Let's smooth the edges a little bit more.

Erik did not call YOUR site a SPAM, he just was concerned that if he would provide an e-mail address he uses regularly, that address would see an increased number of spam e-mails. There are many sites doing so and you did not state explicitly you don't (until today).

Also I said nothing on the whereabouts of the site (until today), I just commented that the SW UART is NOT there (what indicates that you don't have thorough knowledge of what you provide there).

And, Andy's concern was, that the author of the software maybe don't want to restrict access to that software (once declared as free or open source) by requiring registration.
