Why does everyone insist on having me spend money on other chips???
Don't people ever think about using what they got? I'm not going to throw $15 CDN worth of chips in the garbage. But the way to do it is to switch PSEN to some other chip that simply contain at addtress zero a jmp $. And how an I supposed to do that without programming a chip? Like I said, I want everything done on the same circuit board. I like your "easy-way" out, but it is not-so-easy. ...does not, in any way require you screwing with the clock. When the flipflop output is low, and psen turns high, the clock is frozen, because the first gate produces a logic low, and a logic low applied to the 2nd gate (attached to the crystal) freezes it, because in a nand gate, as soon as any input is low, the output is high. Once the "cont" falls low, the clock is active because one input is constantly high, and the other input will be toggled by the clock. |
