#132212 - TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY incorrect. if "the flash Responding to: ???'s previous message |
OK, so if the way I was trying to use the clock was supposed to be unstable, then I'm thinking of hardcoding "jmp $".
I ALREADY posted "will not work" http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=132153 HOWEVER, if you hold the reset constantly you will have all ports pins high (quasi-bidirectional allowing "wire OR") thus with the reset held your parallel port can manipulate all address and data lines at its hearts desire (remember to tri-state the address latrch on reset) If a microcontroller only depends on internal flash, and the flash screws up, the microcontroller is dead, and useless. TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY incorrect. if "the flash screws up" it can be reprogrammed (via ISP if that is part of the chip) I don't order online, solutions cost high, and the time it takes to arrive just might be considerably long. and who know what kind of support you get? cost - nocomment. "time it takes to arrive" I GUARANTEE it will be at least 10 times less that the time it will take you to get the contraption you propose to work, Support - will come out in oodles and bunches right here once you go for a 'standard' solution instead of inventing a square wheel.
