Erik I'm pretty sure it was even older than that. My uncle gave me a bunch of electronics stuff when I was in the 4th grade. There were several hundred 1 lead diodes in metal cans, just under 1 cm in diameter, with a lip. The case was one lead, and the single pin was the other. There was a diode board as well, with sockets for the diodes. This was... maybe 1977, and it was left over stuff from the early to mid 60's. I haven't seen any of those diode in decades... |
