If I ran it as-is without consideration to timing, yes.

BUT, I said in my last post that I wanted to add that NAND gate, so that I can send a signal to the PC's parallel port indicating that new data can be read. Then I must feed one byte from the PC to the system before P1 is actually read into the microcontroller.

I have two crystals. 18.432Mhz, and 8.064Mhz. I might have to resort to the lower for the programming to work better.
