At this time, CodeVision does not have a command line compiler. It also compiles and links everything each time Is this the one that doesn't actually have a Linker at all - it effectively just #includes all your .c files into one big blob, and compiles that? That's pretty much what it does. Tedious on larger projects, not a big deal on small projects. But then again, you get what you pay for...I can buy 15 copies of CodeVision for the cost of a single IAR. The cost was such that I felt it was worth a try, before shelling out the bucks for IAR. Then having used it, I felt the difference in cost wasn't justified. I've used the IAR 8051 compiler for ten years now, so I know what IAR's compilers and support are like. I am looking forward to the next version. I do like compiling just the module I touched instead of everything. Dennis |
