#148109 - a breeze, stick a ftdi chip on the board Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The CPU to printer interface would have to be USB in nature and I don't have any information on using a 89LP to communicate with a printer using that interface. USB interfaces are still a mystery to me ..... If someone can make developing a USB interface to a printer understandable to me I will use that option.
a breeze, stick a ftdi chip on the board. ftdi makes chips that convert serial and/or parallel to USB and supply the software all you do is feeding the ftdi chip. Depending on the chip you can use UART, SPI or "FIFO" (parallel) The chips are quite reasonably priced (check mouser) Erik |
