The thing to remember is that a lot of the cheaper printers rely on the host pc's operating system to provide the desired level of functionality, much of the processing is done by the PC, and not in the printer, if you try to use one of these, and that's a lot of the cheaper models then you will fail.
I've always avoided such printers, I will only buy one that has the capability to be used independently of the host system requirements, you will have to pay a bit more, but then again it will be much more flexible. So do your homework first. |
