Dear Anita,
What you have to do is to install the driver (you must be having driver CD with adaptor) Choose the virtual comm port that is created due to this adaptor through your VB code.(keep flexibility of choosing it at run time rather than hardcoding) Of course you need to read specification of the adaptor to ensure it works dot as actual comm port.
