#155568 - Grey market problem Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Because of the large grey market here, I have had to experiment with these serial converters quite a bit.
AFAIK, FTDI is a pioneer in these chips, on which the Aten products are based. You can find out by looking at the name of the driver that gets installed, no need to open a converter. I am sure there are other reputed manufacturers like B&B etc. But they are not available easily in India. I see no point in someone else going through the same time consuming guesswork, so I am also suggesting the end product manufacturer's name. |
