Actually I tested only with 1 matrix so far, but I pretend to use all 10 matrix's (I'm not alone in the project, it's from my college). The first test was to confirm the multiplexing and we noticed that we gonna have to use driver's to control the current through the LED's.

So is multiplexing the only way using 10 matrix's?
