#17309 - RE: MS in Embedded Systems... |
A can't let this go without giving the Australian Uni's a plug too.
Several of our Universities are now offering a Batchelor of Engineering in COMPUTRONICS - effectively specialising in Embedded Systems. There are also Mechatronics Engineers here now, who do the same but with Pnuematics/Motor control/Hydraulics etc. These degree streams are available by Correspondance and are internationally recognised by Engineering Bodies (such as IEEE). The Compitronics stream focuses on all the things you mentioned, plus you may get some recognition for prior study for the high-level parts of the course (which cover PC programming). They also cover the topics required for total complete design, including the physical enclosure etc. This is what I am stiduying at the moment. |
