General thoughts and something about my answering style.
I think that a parrallel programmer at less than $300 is dirt cheap - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I think that it does not make sense spending the time hunting for the strange effects of a capacitor reset when a supervisor chip is available - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I think that a program should be designed before the first line of code is put on paper - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I like Philips because their chips work before revision "S" and I get good support - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I want more to help those that try to work on a problem before asking for help - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I believe that telling someone where to find the answer is more valuable than giving the answer - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I believe that help is to point in the direction, not to go there and back which would reduce my help a lot due to time spent - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I answer based on my background - industrial, volume, professional and may thus answer "buy a programmer or use ISP chips" rather than "spend 55 hours making something that may work at programming chips" - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? I believe it is important to have fun, too much is too serious - maybe you don't, but does that invalidate my opinion? Erik |
