Why 8051 is The Industry Standard:

Please look at the Zilog web.
Zilog itself announced never the Z80 core
for microcontrollers.

Only the Z8 can be found (fully different to the Z80).
And only as ROM or OTP, never as Flash.
Flash is a must for today micros.
