#3823 - RE: my conclusion |
with this,it took a while for me to remember there is no
call on zero, jump on zero (the flag-not register a and not just a relative jump either),to have this stupid "harvard" archetecture (separate code and data space) and the like.from a technical standpoint,it is unargueable that the more versatile the more applications and ease of design into these applications can be realised.on controller vs: processor---cut the legs off a frog, you still have a frog..without the internal ports what do you have?...add internal ports to z80 what do you have?it is all the same--if zilog (or any other for that matter) comes out with a "data aqu. on a chip" as adi with somthn' better than 8052--it would be stupid for me to not consider.. reg-jack ps: if you note on adi's web site, there is a mention of future product (of similar order) with "greater processor power"---hmm....this at least admits the deficiency in current design,as well as the demand. for better. |
