also the z80 is not without problems too--no doubt
many a time found myself thinking,why did the designers not
include mult/div or why not effect the flags on 16 bit arithmetic
(at least they did on a couple)--

nec has a z80--nec780
and also mostec did too..

started with a 8080a then 6800 (school),then z80,then z8000,then
8052 (aduc812) so kinda a backup for me so the degration is
quite apparent---

rumor has it that zilog might be comming out with a similar part
as '812---but a z8 core..not sure on z8 just glanced a while
ago---if it at least as well as z80 fine--if not my words
will be "the xxxx would be better with a z80 core"
