I don't understand this at all,In a production setting you use OTP parts or mask
programmed parts.The cost saving is enormous as is the space saving without having to deal with jtag ports.Mask programmed means that your part cannot be reverse engineered quite so easiely.Unless you see the need to change the code in the field the use of processors with normal flash is a waste of space and money
