Yes, I have. One of my products can be reprogrammed over RS-232. The code I have written accepts and checks an Intel HEX file and also contains a basic 'descrambler'. It can be called from the application firmware but also works in an 'empty' device. For the PC side I have written a simple application in VB to connect to the device and download the new code, but I like the idea of making the interface compatible with FlashMagic or Flip!

To get started you should take a look at Cygnal's application notes AN012 and AN029.
