I agree with both of your last replies. It's sometimes a rather difficult question to give adequate help, even more in such an open forum. I see some people giving help in a 'demanding' way, like: 'Take these two diodes, they are necessary.' (Just an example). And if you ask them why, they tell you: 'Do it, it's necessary'. If you further ask, why this is necessary, they will tell you: 'I'm 127 years in business, and if I tell you, that ...'
Another way to give help is to transform problem into some very infantil topic, like: 'Imagine, electrons are like very small balls, all pushing against p-n junction, and because after a certain time they become so tired, they ...'

I think, that's not really helpful...

Giving good help is much more, than just to present a certain result. It is worthless, if you cannot estimate how result is meant and is to be interpreted. Can I trust the person who gives help, did he take all relevant facts into account, or is he only 'assuming'? Does he really have experience on the topic or is he just echoing, what others already posted?

For me good help is, when an expert lets us have a look about his shoulder, when we get an authentic sight of his point of view, when we can be part of his work. I remember very well your posting about ground loop currents and the very detailed description...

Unfortunately, I cannot influence, how MY help is interpreted and used. But I can try to give my best in explaining, what I mean. And if it was helpful for at least one person, spent effort and time was it worth!

It's really amazing how much one can learn here in this forum! There are so many experts, being willing to give good help and let us part of their experience. It's really fantastic!
And: People from so many countries, languages, religions, colors, traditions and cultures are here together, communicating in a respectful and tolerant manner. Can there be anything more peaceful and hopeful?
