"...its takes up valuable resources..." you must have a really strange understanding of the word "valuable", if about 0.1% CPU time and 0.1% code space sounds "valuable" for you. And again: If the key and the 8051 are on the same pcb, there is no need for any additional hardware, even the pull up resistor was already inside the 8051. Peter |
