#58771 - RE: switch debounce - max 6818
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Jez,

if you have difficulties to manage key debouncing in software with small reccources and almost no influence to other tasks, than it is only your problem personally !

I can only tell, that my solution works perfect on all my applications. If you not want to read it, than it is your problem personally also.

Again, key debouncing and protection of inputs are two fully different things.

For protection and decoupling I prefer the cheap opto coupler way, but I know, there exist also protection circuits from Maxim, which can serve up to 8 or 16 inputs.

But opto insulation give more protection and decoupling and my gadgets must work in a very harsh environment.

For key debouncing I stick not on the software solution. If I would found an advantage, which was worth the additional pcb space and costs of a hardware solution, I see absolutely no problem to use it.
But until now I can only see the opposite (costly and no advantages).
So I don't understand why you have problems with this.
