I have since thrown out the package...I do not think my circuitry is working correctly. I am not using an opamp should I?...this is not a student project. I am doing it for fun. the micro is running at 12 mhz. I can write and load assembly but I am not very good with it..thats why I would rather use basic 52...interpereter this language is burnt into this chip. I would be more than happy to redesign the circuit. IF I know the circuit is functioning properly then I should be able to write the code myself. I appreciate all the help you are giving me...it's been hard so far.. The detector is just alittle metal box with 3 leads...I read somwhere it's a sharp guix..something or other... as I have said the supporting circuitry can and will be totally redone...I have opamps lying around so if this is the way to go it would be fine....maybe my amp isn't working properly..this is my suspicion....
