A programmer is kind of a nice 'first project' as long as you don't suffer the illusion that you're building something useful.
I assume that your pic and avr work was done with isp; that's how things are going on 8051 as well. You might want to explore other projects (perhaps noisemaking toys or flashing displays) that will have lasting value and involve similar levels of design and troubleshooting. |
