I agreee fully with Michael.

I'm absolutely sick and tired of needing always a new costly adaptor for every new micro, which I want to use.

Thus I trow away any complicated programmer stuff and use exclusively only such microcontrollers, which need no programmers at all.

E.g.:

- AT89S8252 (SPI over LPT1)
- T89C51CC01 (Bootloader)
- P89C668 (Bootloader)
- LPC2106 (Bootloader)
- C8051F02 (JTAG)
- ATMega8 (LPT1 to insert my own bootloader instantly)

And also I use only such CLPDs (e.g. Xilinx CoolRunners) with JTAG capability over LPT1.

Please accept, that former EPROM techniques are totally outdated today.

If you are interest on older technology without any practical use, I found this:

It looks many more interesting, than a stupid outdated EPROM programmer.
