Universal Programmer are of little value today with every new MCU & derivative coming with ISP.

Moreover if you use programmer it waste lot of time & efforts in terms of removing chip from board , putting it in programmer and again putting it back to board. It is very tire some . Some it damage chips due to pins bending , wrong placement etc. Then you have to have different adapter for different chips/ IC base.

Compnay themselves comes out with very low cost start up kits which has got programming facility also
