I would like to see them include empiracal data concerning the performance reliability of an RC reset circuit, so people can make an informed decision about thier particular needs.
How would you state that? Would it help you if e.g. the datasheet stated that while the capacitor (dis)charges to Vres no spike of a duration of more than 3ns of a magnitude greater than the difference between Vcap and Vres may exist? Try to design around that one. (some years ago with an older derivative I saw it hang because of something like that)
