Philips do provide chips to toymakers. So? How does this act prevents Philips (or any other manufacturer) not to mention the use of supervisors as well if much reliable operation is needed? There is some "old" stuff that seems to be impossible to get rid of I agree but again it does not harm to include additional note about use of supervisors. Budget of the datasheet publishing department. Does adding half more page severly affects the budget of a multi billion dollar comapny while most datasheets are published in electronic form? Would any capable designer r ather write datasheets than design? Well, it is just a matter of adding a note or short description once only. I don't think that several man years are required for this task. |
