I was replying to your statement about interrupt enable/disable controling when you service an interrupt and I was making the point it controls only if you see it not when you see it.
Absolutely correct, but who cares. The issue is that by this means you control when you react to it. You persist in ignoring that an interrupt event that happen when disabled will be stored and serviced when enabled. Anyhow, I have no problems with an OS if it is considered a possibility, not a religious necessity. Somwhere (in this thread?) there is a post about the PC programmers that think they can do the '51 and have no idea whatsoever that a URTOS is probably as necessary for a '51 as a riding lawnmower for a 100 sq ft lawn.
