While Bill is here, I couldn't resist asking this question: Haven'tyou considered a 89C2051-pin-compatible model in the LPC9xx family?
That was the very first thing I checked for when I first came across the LPCs, and I think it would make my decisions easier.
Btw. the 2051 can be operated at 3V; and most of the little applications where I am using them can be easily converted to 3V just by changng a couple of parts. However if a pin-compatible LPC part would be 5V...
