Code theft is only a potential problem if the hardware is dead simple. If you make your hardware non-copyable e.g. a couple of (C)PLDs there is no purpose protecting the software.
An extremely simple solution is to socket the micro and set the protect bits. Then if an update is required, send a protected uC instead of a file. Erik |
