#92882 - but a diesel
Responding to: ???'s previous message
FM is just a "vehicle"...
But you can not pour gas in a diesel engine.

to utilize FM you must
1) make something that massages the .hex file without changing the control and address portion of the records.

2) make a modified ISP to be loaded into the ISPsection of the flash that echo to FlashMagic exactly the same way an unmodified ISp would.

3) make the conversion in the ISP/ICP interface.

and it is all for naught ....

Now if someone erase the program memory, leaving the ISP section the security bits are gone (I hope - if not so, "regular" programming would be a nightmare) so anyone can read the modified ISP and deduct the scrambling algorithm. Even easier, they can copy the bootloader and then all Khaleds code loads.

If removing the security bits require total erase, any chip can load Khaleds bootloader and program - same thing.

So, again - why on earth do you want this? is your hardware that simple and your code that advanced?

The fact is, that if Khaleds idea is good, the effort make a copy from scratch is worth it to someone - no access to Khaleds code required.
