Please note that the LPC9xx's have separate lockbits for each sector, so it should be enough to fully protect the sectors the bootloader occupies.
Yes, you can secure them individually but I see, in the manual and user guide, no means of retaining the loader while unsecuring the program sectors since "unsecure" is global. Thus you either need to leave the program or the loader non-secure or load the loader without encrypt and either of those will make the whole effort futile. Whether securing serves a purpose or not, it is not a matter of "just inserting a bit of code" Well that would be a really bad move from Philips to allow this Why, I know of no '51 derivative save the Dallas "secure micros" where it is possible to load encrypted programs.
