Here is an example of the type of Vector board that I always
keep on hand. The large size makes it convenient to cut down the sized piece I need for any given proto I need to fabricate. http://www.vectorelect.com/Product/C...d/8013.htm I typically cut the stuff by scoring it down a row of holes from both sides using a sharp XACTO knife blade. It can then be cracked in two along the scoring over the sharp corner of a work bench. I then use a full sheet of 100/120 grit type sand paper laid flat on the bench and hold the piece of vector board down edgewise against the sand paper to smooth out the edges. The fiberglass board material sands down through the broken hole edges quiclky to create a nice clean egde on the vector board. Michael Karas |
