I can sucessfully convert the echo into a number between 0 and 255. But my question is, when the object is near, the signal is usually significant but when the the object is far away from the sensor the signal is very weak, which means that there is no absolute level of "signal higher then 'this' is the echo signal". How to write a program to detect the greatest echo within the "2 meter time", beside using a comparator? Measuring time between sending and receiving pulse don't depended to the receiver circuit absolutely,Power of transmitted pulse as jez said determine maximum of measuring distance,I don't say Receiver circuit is not important but at first you must send a strong pulse I say you before a way to strengthen the transmission pulse I said:
At first i was sending 1 pulse If the range was so far(5.6 m) the Returned Pulse Time (RPT) was (2*5.6)/340=32.941 msec. even if the range was 10m the RPT=2*10/340=58.823 msec So i set a timer(16 bit mode) to see if the transmitted pulse is returned or not,If not(Time>70msec:timer overflowed) i was changing NP from 1 to 10 If not again i change NP from 10 to 30 Changing number of pulse from 1 to 10 and 10 to 30 means strengthen the transmission pulse Good Luck Mehdi |
