#98492 - Universities in HongKong Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Stanley Lio said:
Hello:
I'm also thinking for a more "practical goal" to go, other than TsingHua because it's really difficult to get. Anyway I have to do my best in exam, but "Plan B" will also need me to prepare a lot. Whether it is TsingHua or not I have to take that exam. I don't have time to plan for university other then Mainland's. I sleep after 23:00 every night, just studying. Stanley Hello Stanley, TsangHau may be too difficult indeed, have you ever consider those universities in Southern China?? Or even university in HongKong?? I don't have the information on the universites in Southern China, however I know some pictures of universities in HongKong. There are 7 universities in HongKong, they are: University of HongKong (HKU) Chinese University of HongKong (CUHK) HongKong Science and Technology University (HKUST) HongKong Polytechnic University (HKPU or PolyU) <- I grad from there City University of HongKong (CityU) HongKong Baptist University (HKBU) Lingnan University (LnU) The most difficult one should be HKU while CUHK and HKUST are similar, however for electronics, HKUST, HKPU, CityU should be better. Long time ago before the HKUST and CityU opened, Polytechnic(the former of the HKPU) was a very good place to study electronics. In these few years, PolyU seems a little bit behind the HKUST (too bad this is the truth although the PolyU is my mother school!!)but still better than the CityU. I don't know if Macau government will subs the tution free of their local students to study in HongKong or not, you can check it. Tution free of those university for non HongKong cityzen will be very high but the accomdation cost in HongKong are even higher! You can check the website of those university via internet, there is a good site that contains all their websites URL, the URL of that site is www.cuhk.edu.hk/hkwww.html and click the 'Education' and then click the 'Tertiary Insitutions' and you will find lost of Institutions webpage. Okay hope you success in the exams.. Best 73 from Li. |
