#96891 - Dear Craig Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What you are doing now is a great service (atleast for students like me) to the technical faternity. I opinine the following:
1. It is reasonable to close. If you are closing a thread, it doesnt mean that you are taking monopoly over the forum. It clearly depicts your interest in fostering 8052 related discussions. No flames/wars should be allowed here. 2. The recent posts which were closed were not related to 8052 so they are ought to be closed here. What you and Steve did are correct, in my opinion. Dont mind the accusations you had regarding the censorship. 3 and 4. Having an 'off-topic' discussion area will lead to discussions which may be purely off-topic to technical issues. For instance, if one is integrating a motor drive with microcontroller, for getting the views of motor drives, he/she could post in 'off-topic' area. But what if one starts something which is totally unrelated with electronics? I think this website/forum should not be a place for that. So, the current format is great. Craig, once again I am happy to say, what you and all experts doing here is a great service. I can say anywhere that I learnt much more only thru this forum. Dont worry about the hiccups. Keep marching forward. Thanks and Regards, Vignesh. |
