That was the "triggering event" but it caused me to ask more general questions regarding how the forum is run. I agree that the thread-closure in question isn't a reasonable explanation for Michael's response and I'm not aware of any bad blood between Michael and me or Michael and Steve so I figure the answer must lie elsewhere. Thus my questions. There have been two or three members over the years that criticize everything I do. A couple of them have left and one of them I've just accepted the idea that he'll always be emailing his complaints. But when someone I respect, such as Michael, takes the position that he has taken, it does cause me to wonder what's going on. I appreciate everyone's feedback on this matter.
