I think Craig was right to close such a thorny political thread. Kai obviously meant well, but it was bound to become a forum for many polarised views. I like NOT knowing the colour of my friends and fellow poster's politics. That's why I'm an engineer and not a philosopher or politician. I like the old saw about keeping ones mouth shut and letting people think you a fool, rather than opening it and confirming you are one.
So why am I pontificating now? Simply because I want to offer a vote of thanks to everyone who participates in this brilliant forum and, in particular, to the above (and Kai) who spend so much valuable time and take such care to answer difficult questions. Very best to all, Dave |
