Yes, thats fine, provided the display is reasonable close to the processor/
2) The port which will be connected to LCD, is it ok to initialise that as '00' and then send 8 bit data for LCD. or that port like others has to be initialised as high for micro safety.


You don't "Initialise" an 8052 port. If the port pin has '1' written to it, it can be used as an input, but if a '0' is written to it, it can't.
