Hold on, I did something wrong because I just tried that modification I suggested and it doesn't work on mine either. I'm investigating why now.

I could see boxes appearing, with further change in resistance display fades away BUT ALL THE ACTION IS ON TOP LINE, nothing happening on bottom line, even If there is no display on bottom line still don't you guys think that atleast it should react to change in contrast resistance (display wise).


Yes.

I can duplicate that symptom on my LCD but only if I send it a 30h initialization rather than a 38h--that puts the LCD in 1-line mode rather than 2-line mode.
