#98454 - Startup delay Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The lcds require a minumum startup delay, depending on your code you can either violate this requirement and satisfy it without any thought. Sending the initialisation a few times will most likely satisfy this requirement, thus the inference that you NEED to send the initialisation a few times whereas the reality is most likely you just need a delay before initialising. The hd44780 specs mention this methinks (I'm too lazy too pull them up!). |
