Ehm I seem mentioning it already - LM339 is quad, but the OP seems to have used it all (mentions multiple inputs) - but indeed an option wort trying.

Nevertheless, I still think the diode (Shottky) will work, 1N4148 is not the only type of diode on this planet... (at least I am using one more, 1N4008 :-)
