If this won't go through a long path etc.etc. I see no reason why the absolute worst case 0.1V noise immunity with the creppiest Schottky around won't suffice.
I don't think this issue deserves more attention than this.

It most certainly does. Ground bounce, even on a well designed 4 layer board, can easily exceed 0.1V.

The other aspect of this is that to see if it will suffice, you have to rely on "testing" and what does that tell, but in this case it happened to "work".
