#103804 - I have handled that with isolated RS485 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Because we couldn't improve the grounding management of every plant we had to deal with, we decided to make the RS485 loop more robust.
I have handled that with isolated RS485 transcievers (Maxim has them) If we need handshaking, then we use a full-duplex RS485, again with drivers, which are permanently turned-on. I never though I'd hear that one from you, there is no full duplex RS485, that is RS 422. The according RS485 loop does only address this single sensor. If more than one sensor is mounted, then we use individual RS485 loops. That can become very troublesome if you have a lot of nodes. I may have improved my lot as of late by using failsafe transcievers AND 3 resistor termination. Erik |
