I tried googling it and found this MCU called 87C572 by philips that has 16 I/O pins.
what do you mean, a 'standard' '51 (and the 572 at least ) have 32 I/O pins. If you are in a pin crunch and use external memaory, you goof. If you want pins galore. have a look at e.g. the SILabs F12x it has 48 I/O pins and lots of internal data and code memory (8k and 128k). Erik |
