Yes you are right. At least so is the case with me. You see I am only a beginner. But in spite of that I think that design is also a matter of opinion as it is of engineering. There are factors like availability, finding personnel with the required skill set, personal experience and inclination to code or sketch designs.
In my case for example, my first objective is to get something working. You may laugh at this, but I am still doing my work on bread boards. So PCB design is hardly my concern right now.
I am only waiting for the day all things are in place and it actually starts working. That is going to be a great moment for me.
