#126186 - Requirements
Responding to: ???'s previous message
First, you need to define your requirements; eg

  • How many inputs and/or outputs do you require?

  • do they need to be far from the 8051?

  • How do you intend to connect them to the 8051?

  • What are the current & voltage requirements?

  • What are the timing requirements?

  • other constraints - eg, size, cost, number of components...

I really need more examples and schemes for this subject.

I gave you a whole bunch of links to look at:

    http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=125965

The 8255 is so old that eveything that could possibly be said about it (including "don't use it") must already have been said a dozen times. There are loads of examples all over the web - if you really want them, you just need to get searching!
