The low-cost "classical" ICE does not have trace as it is expensive (memory+logic+FW+SW), but potentially it CAN have the trace (read: it has the signals needed for it "pulled out" off the mcu).

Also, I'd not draw the line based on the cost; this might be very misleading.

My concern is, that there is no established terminology for distinguishing these "ICE"s.
