Is CS (SS) is held low while single byte transfer?
I can't see it because CS and SCK is overlapped in its height on the trace. No, it's held low while 2 bytes transfer, otherwise (I think) we'd load the data byte with the command byte (fig 1 data sheet) and from page 7 "Controlling the MAX6957 requires sending a 16-bit word." Interestingly I don't seem to get any output from MISO either, although the data sheet says "DOUT provides a copy of the bit that was input 15.5 clocks earlier" I think I'm going to loop sending just 1 byte of 55h to it and see what I get out of DOUT, and then try a different MAX6957. edit>> Sorry, you asked what my current problem was - the same as it's always been, port 22 doesn't go high. |
