As I said, I don't do hardware professionally any more. For my hobbies, I either ask some of my friends to route me a board, or I do it on their equipment, using Protel9x. I used to work with Tango/DOS (anybody remembering that - it's quite a long time).
But, I doubt there is any microcontroller which does not have the xtal pins next to each other. For Erik's problem, it is enough to connect the line from the external oscillator to the neighbouring pad. I believe this is a <5 minutes work using any tool, including hand-drawing (using eraser and pen). That the associated NRC for boards fabrication might be quite high in some cases, is an another issue. JW |
